Horace Bryant Obituary
August 20, 1931 - October 16, 2015
Myrtle Beach
Horace Elmo Bryant, 84, husband of the late Mary Frances Bryant, died Friday, October 16, 2015 at his residence.
He was born August 20, 1931 in Smithfield, NC a son of the late John A. and Bertie Alice Messer Bryant. He is also preceded in death by a step-daughter, Paulette Guy Hall; two brothers, Dwight Bryant, and John Bryant, Jr.; two sisters, Helen Barbour, and Peggy Person.
Mr. Bryant graduated from Massy Hill High School in 1950 and was a veteran of the US Navy, and was a station manager with Piedmont and US Airways Airline Company.
He is survived by his companion, Ruth M. Ausband; two step-sons, James L. Guy, and Troy S. Guy both of Hope Mills, NC; one step-daughter, Karen Guy Dees of Fayetteville, NC; one brother, James O. Bryant of Shallotte, NC; twenty grandchildren, and twenty- three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 18, 2015 from 2:00 – 3:00 PM at McMillan-Small Funeral Home, Myrtle Beach, SC. There will be a memorial service on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 12:00 PM at Rogers & Breece Funeral Home in Fayetteville, NC with the family receiving friends from 11:00 AM until service time. The interment will follow immediately at LaFayette Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
