Myrtle Beach, South Carolina - Mr. James "Jamie" William Santos, age 52, passed away on October 29, 2023, in Myrtle Beach, SC. Born on October 24, 1971, in Virginia, he was the son of the late Theodore "Ted" Fred Santos.
Mr. Santos served his country with courage, honor, and distinction in the United States Army Special Forces in numerous countries around the world. He was proud to have served in Somalia during the Battle of Mogadishu and the Black Hawk Down Incident and also in Haiti during the 1991 coup d'état of the Haitian government. "This Army Airborne and Special Forces Staff Sergeant has made his last parachute jump, and I know he had a soft parachute landing on that special Drop Zone God created for all his airborne troopers!" Jamie, "Requiescat in Pace". M. Davison, Jr.
Survivors include his mother, Pamela Santos Rubin (Kenneth Rubin); brother, Matthew Santos (Lara Jones), as well as many friends, cousins, and extended family members.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Dunes Golf & Beach Club on November 18, 2023, at 4:00 PM. Interment services with military honors at Arlington National Cemetery will be announced at a later date. Those who wish may make memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516. Hardwick Funeral Home, Loris, SC, will be handling services.

As the days get closer to the day that my heart broke in two. I feel such loneliness and despair without you. I miss your voice, your early every morning texts or calls to check on me and giving me the strength to keep fighting. I don´t know if I can keep going without you!!
We all love and miss you terribly. We need answers that we haven´t gotten and need for closure!!!

Jamie, This "Sparty" girl will love you forever, even if you are a Michigan Fan. You´ve had a piece of my soul and heart since the day we met. I´m going to miss our texts and your persistence in trying to get me to come visit you in South Carolina. We almost pulled it off. Now it´s too late. I know you´ll watch over all of us.
