Davis, Abigail "Gail" A. Our beloved Gail joined the angels, saints, and family ancestors on July 1, 2023. She had just celebrated her 74th birthday. She fought the good fight with brain cancer (glioblastoma) but ultimately lost the battle. She left surviving her husband, Timothy O. Davis; sons, Colin T. Davis (Kalan), and Nathan L. Davis (Jessica), and in addition, two lovely granddaughters, London and Maya. Gail was born in Rockford, IL on 6/8/49 to Eugene and Abby Lawlor, an only child. She lived the first twelve years in Victor, IA, then moved to Davenport, IA when her father died. She attended Moline Public Hospital School of Nursing (67-70), followed by the Minneapolis School of Anesthesia (72-74). She worked at North Memorial Medical Center from 1974 to 2004 giving anesthesia for all types of cases including emergency room and heart lung bypass. From 2004-2010 she worked at West Health and from then until 2018 she worked at Park Nicollet same day surgery where she focused primarily on eye surgeries. Gail loved spending time with her friends and family as well as her dogs. During retirement she trained her German Short Hair Pointers at the Bloomington Obedience Training Center. As an accomplished seamstress she made many clothes for her family and accessories for the dogs. Gail was a skilled interior decorator and flower gardener. On occasion she was a "mate" on the family sailboat. Gail loved to travel all over the United States, made multiple trips to Mexico and several to Europe. Gail will be greatly missed by her family, friends, co-workers and dog trainers. The family wishes to acknowledge the loving and professional care given to Gail by Sunrise Senior Living, Edina, MN, and the hospice team from Park Nicollet. In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to Glioblastoma Research Org. A Celebration of Life will be held July 21 at Washburn McReavy Funeral, 50th St and Highway 100, Edina, MN, with visitation at 10:00, ceremony at 11:00 and lunch at 12:00.
