Alan Brooks Obituary

Alan Brooks

Milton, VT - April 7, 1952 - October 19, 2025

Alan Roger Brooks, a beloved husband and a treasured member of the Windsor community, passed away on October 19, 2025, after a brief illness. He was born on April 7, 1952, in Windsor, Vermont, and spent his life embodying the values of hard work and devotion to family.

A proud graduate of Windsor High School, class of 1973, Alan dedicated his entire career to being a machine shop operator. His skilled hands and meticulous work ethic were hallmarks of his life, reflecting a profound commitment to his craft that earned him the respect of his peers.

Alan's heart belonged unequivocally to his wife, Lorraine Brooks. Their relationship was a beautiful partnership, characterized by love, friendship, and unwavering support for one another. For six wonderful years, they shared laughter, warmth, and an unbreakable bond that only grew stronger with time. To describe Alan as easy-going would be an understatement; he was the comforting presence people turned to, a source of kindness that made everyone around him feel at ease. His gentle spirit often revealed a playful hint of "redneck," showcasing a man who embraced life and found joy in the simple pleasures.

In his younger years, Alan found solace and excitement in the great outdoors, indulging in his passion for hunting and fishing. These hobbies were not merely pastimes; they were moments of adventure and tranquility that reflected his love for nature and family.

Alan was preceded in death by his dear parents, June and Roger Brooks, who instilled in him the values he cherished throughout his life. He is also predeceased by his siblings, Dana Brooks and Michael Brooks, whose memories will forever be woven into the fabric of his legacy.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his stepchildren: Candice Jornigan and her husband CJ, Aaron Labor, Chirs Labor, Tanner Villemaire, and Ethan Villemaire and his two grandchildren. Their lives have been forever touched by Alan's generous spirit and unwavering affection.

As we remember Alan Roger Brooks today, we celebrate a man whose life was defined by love, laughter, and loyalty. He will be missed not only for the joy he brought into the lives of those who knew him but also for the lessons he imparted through his actions-lessons of kindness, dedication, and the importance of cherishing our loved ones. His memory will continue to inspire those left behind as they carry forward the legacy of a remarkable man who lived fully and loved deeply.
