He was born on August 10, 1949 to Mr. Mariano Gomez and Mrs. Efijenia R. Gomez in Mexico.
Mr. Gomez is preceded in death by his father, Mr. Mariano Gomez.
Left to cherish his memories is his Loving Wife, Celia Gomez; her sons, Juan Pablo Sanchez (Maria Martinez), Jose Alberto Sanchez, Mario Alfonso Gomez (Cristina Sanchez), Luis Alonso Gomez (Berenice Hernandez), Sergio Gomez (Sandy Salazar), Miguel Angel Gomez (Norma Cervantes), Ariel Gomez (Lorena Valderas); his daughters, Olga Lydia Gomez (Julio Cesar Ibarra), Flor Estela Rodriguez (Isaac); his brothers, Manuel Gomez, Mario Gomez, Jesus Gomez; his sister, Francisca Gomez; numerous, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mr. Alfonso Gomez Rodriguez is scheduled for Monday, September 5, 2022 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 6:30 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Heavens in Weslaco. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at 9:00 am at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
Funeral Services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco.
