Alice Marie Finn, age 96, of Marblehead, Massachusetts, was born on August 23, 1927 and passed on December 1, 2023. Alice was surrounded by her loving family throughout her transition to heaven and was able to say goodbye and "I love you" to each of them.
Alice was born and raised in Cambridge, Massachusetts where her happy childhood consisted of ballet, friends and family. She is the daughter of the late Thomas Sweeney and Edith Jones Sweeney and the sister of the late Thomas Sweeney. Alice graduated from Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School and worked for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company taking the trolley into the city every day. Later in life, she followed her passion for caring for others and worked as a Nurse's Aide.
Alice married William Finn, moved to Marblehead and raised her four children. She was an exceptionally loving, devoted and proud mother and grandmother. She was kind to everyone she met and she loved to spend time with her family and friends, laugh, walk along the beach, garden, antique and travel. She was compassionate, friendly and had the most wonderful smile and shared it with everyone she met. Alice lived a long and full life and she showed great strength through many of life's challenges. She will be dearly missed and remembered fondly by all who knew her.
Alice is survived by her children Carolyn Kendrigan and her husband Paul of Andover, MA, Christine Finn of Marblehead, MA, Patrick Finn and his wife Dianne of Danvers, MA and Timothy Finn and his wife Jeanne of Middleton, MA. In addition, she is survived by her beloved grandchildren, Katelyn, Ashley, Aedan, Nicolas, Amanda, Caitlyn, Lindsey, Ryan and Dana in addition to many cherished nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church in Marblehead, MA.
