Alice MOYER

Alice Marie (Johnson) Moyer, the daughter of Sigfried and Doris (Peterson) Johnson, was born October 23, 1949, in St. James, Minnesota. She passed away, Thursday, December 22, 2011, at Avera Holy Family Health in Estherville, Iowa, at the age of 62. Alice was baptized at Kansas Lake Church in Butterfield, Minnesota. She attended school in Butterfield and graduated from Butterfield High School. After her graduation she attended a vocational technical college for secretarial training. On August 2, 1974, Alice was united in marriage to James Moyer at a Lutheran Church in Jackson, Minnesota. She was employed at the Jackson County Pilot in Jackson for 20 years until she became ill. She lived in Jackson, Terril and finally making her home in Estherville. In her leisure time she enjoyed traveling and visited Hawaii, Arizona, California and several other states. She enjoyed traveling by motor home as well as motorcycle. Jim died in June of 1997. She was active member at First Lutheran Church in Milford. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and also Cutty's Resort. Left to cherish Alice's memory are her children, James Moyer and his wife, Gwen of Estherville; Denise Banyai and her husband, Jeff of Oak Park, Minnesota; Don Moyer and his wife, Teri of Terril; Doug Moyer and his wife, Lynn of Cambridge, Minnesota; 8 grandchildren, Jessica, D. J., Derrick, Ryan, James, Taylor, Jeremy, Daniel; 4 great-grandchildren, Adriana, Alex, Karianna, Gage and one brother, Winton Johnson of Fairmont, Minnesota. Preceding Alice in death were her husband and parents. INTERMENT Fairview Cemetery Terril
