Obituary
Guest Book
In loving memory of Andy Dannhardt, who left us unexpectedly, way too soon. He was a gifted leader, a respected supervisor at Hapco, and much loved by coworkers, friends, and family. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Hapco crisis response team for doing everything possible.
He is remembered for the love and enthusiam he brought to all aspects of his life. He was recognized by many for his extensive Star Wars collection. He was an exceptional and lifelong swimmer, and set a record on the VHS swim team. He was a craftsman and Harley enthusiast. He readily volunteered time and engineering talents to local community theaters and EB Stanley productions.
Andy was born in 1966 in Bethpage, NY. He grew up in Bristol and was a proud Southwest Virginia resident. He is survived by his wife, Angela, and their son, Jacob (Aylin); his daughter, Amanda (Britney), and son, Hunter; his grandson, Kolton; his parents, Pat and Dick Dannhardt; his siblings Michael (Mimi), Laura (Todd), and Walter (Sally); his “Mom-in-Law” Peggy Heath, many nieces and nephews; and his special friends Darryl, Sabra, Sam, Maggie (James) and Millie Hayden.
A visitation is planned for 7:00-9:00 pm, on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Farris Funeral Home, on 427 E. Main Street, Abingdon, VA 24210 to celebrate Andy’s life. In keeping with Andy’s personality, Star Wars attire will be welcomed.
