Angelina Gomez Rodriguez

Angelina Gomez Rodriguez passed in peace on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at the age of 86, surrounded by her loved ones.
Angelina was born March 13, 1937 in Camaguey Cuba. She met her husband, the love of her life, Sergio, in 1959 at a community festival. In 1961, the day the Cuban government shut down all catholic church's, Sergio and Angelina married with more than a dozen other couples. She always said that she planned each one of her children to be six years apart and prayed for her first to be a boy, then the next two to be girls. She has three loving children; Sergio Gomez (60), Christina Garcia (54), and Angela Gomes de Flores (48). She has seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
She loved teaching English, helping people, reading the word of God, reading medical books, spending time with family, and cooking for her husband.
Angelina enjoyed flowers, birds, animals, traveling shows, as well as horseback riding.
She was the light of our family and loved everyone unconditionally. She had open arms and an open heart for everyone she met. She always saw the good in others and always knew how to make you smile. She always found her way to your heart.
Angelina was an amazing wife, loving mother, sister, abuela, and great-abuela.
