Anthony DeVan Jackson of Toledo, Ohio was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan to Georgine Brooks and Charles Love. Anthony passed away suddenly on September 10, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital.
Anthony graduated from Libbey High School in 1996. As a young kid, Anthony loved fishing and baseball with his late grandmother Donna Ausley. He also loved watching boxing and football. The San Francisco 49ers was his favorite team. He enjoyed going to Comedy shows and taking road trips with his family.
Helping others is something he also enjoyed doing. He would give you the shirt off his back and the shoes off his feet. Anthony was a strong minded person who gave good advice to his peers. Anthony was a jokester, he affectionately called all the kids "Dirt Cakes".
Anthony was employed at Clairos where he loved waking up going to work everyday.
Anthony was preceded in death by his Grandmother and Grandfather, Donna and Willie Ousley; Aunt Bobbie Jackson and grandson Don'Aye Smith.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Tiearra Hodges-Jackson; Mother: Georgine Brooks; Father: Charles Love; Children: sons, Jayvon D. Jackson, Anthony R. Jackson, Antonio L.A. Jackson; daughters, Mariah C. Jackson, London D. Jackson and Ca'Myah R. Hornbeak; grandchildren: Da'Myah L. Smith, Dai Jour R. Smith and Dakodah X. Smith; brothers: Jerrett Johnson, Ryan Johnson, Jan-Phillip Brooks and Ivan (Damond)(Tiffany) Willis. Special sister: Daisha Jackson; Aunt: Glenda Jackson; Uncle: Michael Jackson and a host of other loving family members and friends.
