Debra's Obituary

Sister Debra Ann Jackson, 68, of Saint Louis, Missouri, was called home to be with the Lord and into eternal rest on October 15, 2025. Born on April 4, 1957, to the late Rev. Leon and Ressie Robinson, she accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church, where her father was the pastor. She remained a faithful and devoted member for many years before relocating to Milwaukee, WI in 1996 and then Suffolk, VA in 2015. She then became a faithful member of East End Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board until her health started to decline. Her unwavering faith and commitment to the Lord were evident in every aspect of her life.

Debra rededicated her life to Christ and lived as a true example of grace, strength, and humility. She never hesitated to pray for or with others and was known for her playful spirit and direct and encouraging words. She manifested her faith by memorizing the word and transcribing a different prayer on a daily basis.

She was united in holy matrimony to the late Randolph Jackson in 1996. Debra was preceded in death by her loving husband whom she spent over 35 years with, her parents Leon and Ressie Robinson; her sister, Alma Hall (Melford); her brother Robert McKinney (Nan) and brother Leon Robinson.

She leaves to cherish her memory: four children and one stepchild — Katrina Bradford (Dionicio), Tyrone Carter (Robin), Devondra Robinson (Jason), Charzetta Robinson, Randolph Jackson III (Sherie); one brother, Ronnie Robinson; one sister, Lenora Golden; six grandchildren Keaundre Spencer, Keshaun Spencer, Kemauri Spencer, Debriona Jennings, Decorion Jennings, Dakayla Robinson, one great-grandchild- her G G girl Da’Nyila Rodgers, one Godchild Deron Miller and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Her life was a testament to God’s faithfulness. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love, service, and faith lives on in all who were blessed to know her.
