Ms. Audrey Thomas

Our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend, Audrey Elaine Thomas entered eternal rest on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at the age of 66 years. Audrey was born on July 17, 1956 in Philadelphia, PA to Delain and Pearl Hickman Bradley. In 1965 the family relocated to Saginaw, Michigan and she attended Buena Vista Public Schools. She is a graduate of the outstanding "Class of 1974".
Audrey had a smile that could outshine the sun; coupled with a personality, energy and heart that would light up any room, workplace or setting. Not one to sit around, she enjoyed traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Audrey especially loved her family, and she had a special place in her heart for her children and grandchildren. They were a large part of her smile and energy.
Audrey was more than fashionable; she was a trend setter and stylish. She co-judged with Judge Mathis (one of her favorite shows). Cooking was a joy, so thanks to the Food Network her family dined on some scrumptious meals. Audrey, also enjoyed time with her Birthday Club, laughing, eating and exchanging gifts. She also was a music lover of all genres, as it was another love shared with her family and friends.
Audrey was known to be good with money since childhood. She used these skills to be employed by the banking industry for over 30 years. Her final career move was at First State Bank as a Deposit Operations Specialist. She shared these skills with New Covenant Christian Center Church where she was an active and faithful, member. Audrey was a member of the finance team and known to be a fast counter.
Ms. Audrey Thomas leaves to celebrate her life and memory, two children, Shomari Thomas (Brittany Lunnie) and daughter, Kiara Carpenter; siblings, Angela Bradley and Kevin (Maria) Bradley; grandchildren, Shomari Thomas, Jr., Imani and Isiah McCaw and Jordynn Thomas; nieces and nephews, Temeka, Seve, Tavion, Amaya, Brian and Joss Bradley; special friend, Faye Gillerson; many other special friends and relatives.
Ms. Thomas was preceded in death by the following loved ones, her parents, Delain and Pearl Hickman Bradley; grandparents, Zinnamon and Florence Bradley and Isiah and Bessie Hickman, and a grandson, Jabri Amari Thomas.
Audrey's family extends special thanks to family, friends, Bishop Ron Frierson, New Covenant Christian Center and Evans & Browne's Funeral Home for their support and prayers.
Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 7, 2022, at New Covenant Christian Center, 2395 S. Outer Dr., Saginaw, MI 48601. Bishop Ron Frierson will officiate. Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington Ave., Saginaw, MI 48601. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m.
