Mrs. Betty Houston Kiser

Mrs. Betty Houston Kiser, loving and devoted wife of George Kiser, Jr., went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 25, 2015. Betty was a faithful member of Shoup's Grove Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher for at least 60 years, Women on Mission leader and a Girls in Action leader. She was also involved in many other committees. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, George Kiser, Jr.; one daughter, Linda Wagner (Bill) of Connelly Springs, NC; one son, Tony Kiser (Becky) of Gibsonville, NC; five grandchildren, DeAnna Kinney (Joe) of Pensacola, Fla., David Wagner (Robin) of South Hadley, MA, Wendy Rawls (Adam) of Hildebran, NC, Amanda Shields (Jonathan) of Raleigh, NC and Bradlee Kiser of Gibsonville, NC; seven great-grandchildren, Lauren, Erin-Joy, and Stephen Kinney of Pensacola, Fla., Lily Wagner of South Hadley, MA, Katelyn Rawls of HIldebran, NC, Perry June and Sam Shields of Raleigh, NC; four brothers, Lenorie, D. C., Bill and Vernon Houston and two sisters, Katherine Patton and Christine Hoyle. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by a daughter, Ivy Gail; four brothers, Eugene, Paul, Glen and Clyde Houston and one sister, Violet Brittain. A funeral service for Mrs. Kiser will be held Monday, December 28, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Shoup's Grove Baptist Church with Rev. J. C. Bradley officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, December 28, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m., prior to the service, at the church.
