Bill Rodgers Obituary
Bill was born on July 29, 1931, in Chesterfield, IL, the son of Thomas and Lula May Houseman Rodgers. He was a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean War. He worked at Prairie Farms Dairy as a leadman in the plant until his retirement in 1993. He also drove a school-bus in Carlinville for 10 years.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, wife Linda, sister Luella Scalise, brothers Howard and Charlie Rodgers, and half-brothers: Donald Wilson and Morse Rodgers.
Bill was a member of St. Paul's UCC in Carlinville. He married Linda Kuester on June 4, 1955. He loved and cared for his family. He enjoyed gardening, bike riding, traveling with family and friends and especially liked family gatherings.
He is survived by his daughters; Julie (Brad) Barton of Waterloo, IL, and Kathy (Don) Jones of Boliver, MO, and son Bill and life partner Linda Worley of Oconomowoc, WI, grandchildren; Amanda Putnick, Nicole (Mike) Ehrenstrom, Matt Barton, Amy (Chris) Huff, great-grandchildren; Jordyn Huff, Emilia and Ellie Ehrenstrom.
A private family service will be held.
Memorials may be made to Crohn's and Colitis Foundation or St. Paul's United Church of Christ.

I´m so sorry to hear of Bill´s passing. He was such a good friend to mom after moving to Sumner Street. I enjoyed my visits with your dad so much. He will be missed.

Bill was a sweet gentleman! I got to know him when he came in to Ace Hardware and especially in the garden center. He told me he was in the service with my brother Bill Sonneborn. We always took time to visit. He will be missed by many.

Heartfelt sympathy, caring thoughts, prayers. Uncle Bill was a true treasure and inspiration. His personality brightened everyone´s day. He was a dedicated professional at Prairie Farms and as a bus driver. Gardening was important to him!!!!! His family meant the world to him!!!!
