Brenda Lynn Gardner
Brenda Lynn Gardner was born on May 12, 1949, in Portageville, MO. to the late Priscillia Ann Patton & James David "J.D". Patton. She passed away on Monday; January 08, 2024, at her home in Portageville at the age of 74 years, 7 months and 23 days.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Priscillia Ann Patton on March 17, 2023 and James David "J.D". Patton, on March 3, 2021 and her k-9 companion. Noelle
Brenda spent time in the Philippines, which created many great stories. She was a woman of strong Christian values. Her steadfast faith in God served her constantly especially when dealing with life's trials. She was gracious and kind to all people. She worked with DeLisle Funeral Home for many years and was very instrumental in setting up their computer programs, cataloging the cemeteries and kept everyone very organized. She also worked at New Madrid County Library and in her previous church she was the secretary for the church. She was a member of the First Church of God in Portageville where she played piano. She was also a beloved member of the Faith Christian Center while she resided in Cabot, AR. Brenda also gave piano lessons to many students that will always hold her dear to their hearts. Brenda and her cousin Linda had made several gospel CD's one of which will be played for her funeral. Brenda lived for her family; her parents were her rock. Brenda's sweet soul will be missed by so many.
She leaves behind to mourn her passing her daughter; Channon (Kit) Skinner of Grapevine, TX, brothers; James (Judy) Patton of Portageville, MO, Mark (Shirley) Patton of Portageville, MO, grandchildren; Anna Lang & Krysta "Kacy" Skinner, Nieces & Nephews: David (Ashley) Patton, Jay (Brandi) Patton, Louis Mark (Libby) Patton, Jonathan Patton, 3-Great Nephews and 2 Great nieces.
In Lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations for St. Jude in Brenda's name.
