Brent “Poodie” Paul LaCour, a decorated veteran of the U.S. Navy who proudly served his country, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at the age of 68. He was the beloved father of Kristen “Peanut” Dana Richmond (Lucas). Son of the late Ray LaCour Sr. and Ella Mayeux LaCour. Brother of Carol Bonnette (the late Felix), Craig LaCour (Diane), Patricia Jurado (Daniel), Eleanora Fleetwood (James) and the late Ray LaCour Jr. (the late Sheila). Proud “Grumpa” of Reese and Carter Richmond. He is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Brent was a native of Moreauville, LA and a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish before settling in Marksville, LA following hurricane Katrina. He was well loved and will be forever remembered as a loving and loyal father, grandfather, brother and a friend of many, who loved & celebrated his country, but treasured his family above all else.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, March 3rd from 10:00AM – 11:00AM, followed by a Memorial Mass in Brent’s memory beginning at 11:00AM. Burial will be private.
