Brian E. Remmy, 67, passed away peacefully at home on July 20, 2023, holding the hand of his wife and forever love, Karen and surrounded by the love of his daughter, Joan, his dog Chevy, and loving family.
Brian was born in Warren, PA on January 4, 1956, the best and brightest of four children, to Elbert and Joan Remmy. He graduated from Warren Area High School in 1974 and served in the USAF.
Brian and Karen were married April 19, 1975 and were married for 48 years. Together they had 2 beautiful children, Joan Remmy Smith of
Panama City, FL and Elbert (Boomer) Remmy. He has 7 Grandchildren and 1 Great Granddaughter.
He started working at an early age pumping gas, worked for his father at Parrish Battery and Electrical, in Warren. After that, he moved to Florida, where he became a Tool & Die Maker. As an avid thrill seeker, he loved fast cars (anything that went fast really), hunting, skydiving, and Harley Davidson Motorcycles. He worked hard and played harder.
He was a warrior, who battled not only his own long sickness, but would lend his strength to others in need. He never let anything or anyone deter him from his mission. If there was a job that needed done, he was going to do it....his way! He taught his family the value of good morals, hard work, never giving up, and sarcasm.
He was a teacher.... he wanted to share his vast knowledge with anyone who wanted to learn. He was patient enough to stick with you until he was certain you knew it... Unless you were his daughter, learning to how drive his Corvette or his Son, learning to use firearms.... But if you needed help with Algebra or Trig... he would sit with you all night, then tell the math teacher that he was wrong.
He believed in being on time, late was not an option for him. His philosophy was "If you're 10 minutes early... you're late."
Brian was predeceased by his father, Elbert Elwyn Remmy, his mother, Joan Bryan Remmy, and his son Elbert (Boomer) Remmy. He is survived by his loving wife Karen of
Deltona, Fl.; his loving daughter, Joan Remmy Smith, of
Panama City, Fl.; His Grandsons, Jeremy Lee, Tyler Jacob, Logan Elwyn, Mason Prescott, Wyatt Michael, and Garrett Ray and his Granddaughter Kyrie Autumn and Great Granddaughter Avalon Onyx. Along with his many Nieces, Nephews, Uncles, Aunts and Cousins
