Mykal Monaghan Obituary

He was born on September 14, 1951, in Knoxville, Tennessee, and moved to Florida as a child. Mykal was a 1969 graduate of Mainland Senior High School and spent his career perfecting his art in custom paint and body work, serving many clients through the local and national community.
Mykal was a founding member of Thrive Community Church. He held a deep passion for the outdoors, finding joy in fishing, boating, and spending time on the water. He would often gather with loved ones over a good barbecue and enjoyed cheering on his favorite football teams and NASCAR.
He leaves behind a loving family, including his children: Shaylan (Pete) Keirstead, Ryan (Nicole) Monaghan, Shyane (Greg) Novak, Bryce (Ashley) Monaghan, and Alyssa Monaghan. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Christian, Caleb, and Emma Keirstead, Ella and Eli Novak, Cayden and Brydie Monaghan, and Logan, Rylee, Reid, and April Monaghan.
Mykal is also survived by his brother, Phillip Monaghan. He is preceded in death by his younger brother, Patrick Monaghan.
Mykal will be missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
A family hosted Celebration of Life will be Sunday November 23, 2025 4:00pm at 63 E. Bayshore Drive, Port Orange, Florida 32127.
