Catherine "Kitty" (Lichoulas) Callahan of Woburn and Florida died on Friday, October 29, after a short illness.
Kitty was born and raised in the South End of Woburn, which is where she raised her five children. Although she lived part of each year in Florida since retiring, Woburn was always her home. She worked for two decades at the North Suburban Chamber of Commerce as finance administrator – although she wore many hats during her time there -- and loved meeting business owners and associates to promote Woburn and surrounding areas as a great place to live and work.
Kitty was a planner and organizer. She loved to "take charge" of everything -- and retirement didn't change that. She was financial administrator of her large retirement community until her death, and started the Cuddles Bear Club -- an organization that gave away thousands of hand-made teddy bears to those who were sick or in need. She made many cherished friends throughout her long life and will be deeply missed.
Kitty was widow of the late Edward A. McDonough and the late Robert M. Callahan. She was pre-deceased by brothers Albert and James Lichoulas, and sisters Viola Day and Mamie Harkins.
Kitty is survived by her sister Eva Lichoulas of Woburn, brother-in-law Bobby McDonough of Nashua NH, daughters Jacqueline (Danny) Estabrooks of Tyngsboro, Karen (late husband, Ralph) Mills of Woburn, Mary Lou McDonough of Wilmington, sons Edward (Kim) McDonough and Brian (Andrea) McDonough of Woburn, godson Richard Lichoulas of Woburn, and was loving yia-yia to Justin, Rachael, Jeremiah, Samantha, Jacob, Alexandria, and David and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the Graham Funeral Home, 3 Arlington Road, Woburn on Monday, November 8, 2021 at 11:00 am. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Kitty's memory to the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church - Endowment Fund, 70 Montvale Ave., Woburn, MA 01801 or to a charity of your choice.

So very sad to learn of dear Kitty´s passing! It was the Return to Sender Christmas card that alerted me...We worked together at the Chamber of Commerce and remained good friends these past years. Kitty will be remembered as a remarkable person!
