Charlotte Gladys Becker

Charlotte Gladys Strawser Becker, 92, of Chambersburg, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at her home. Born January 16, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Allen Norman Strawser and Eva May (Beck) Strawser. Her beloved husband, Rowland A. Becker, whom she married on March 15, 1952, preceded her in death on January 4, 2012.
Charlotte was a 1947 graduate of Sellersville-Perkasie High School. She and her husband, Rowland, lived in the Sellersville-Perkasie area until they moved to Franklin County in 1968. Charlotte dedicated her life to making a home for her family. She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greencastle. She was also a member the Society of Farm Women Group #14, of which she was a charter member and served as County President, and the Atomic Veterans in Greencastle. Charlotte and her husband enjoyed making and selling crafts, gardening and spending time at their home in Sebring, FL.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol E. Becker of Fayetteville, and Patsy B. Best and husband Trent of Chambersburg; a granddaughter, Allison Drake Beaudry and husband Ryan of Chambersburg; and one great granddaughter. In addition to her parents and husband, Charlotte was preceded in death by four siblings, Ernest Strawser, Allen N. Strawser, Dorothy Smallwood and Beatrice Hinkle.
Service and interment will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 1976 Scotland Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
