Christina Rollins Obituary

Christina "Tina" Rollins

Apr 17, 1946 - Oct 14, 2025

On 14 October 2025, Christina "Tina" Rollins entered eternity after a sudden illness. Her passing was peaceful-though shocking-for those who thought her drive and resilience were indomitable and everlasting.

Born in Chicago, Illinois in 1946, Tina grew up in Tulsa and graduated from Holland Hall School (1964). She earned a BS in Education from the University of Colorado and taught elementary school in Oklahoma and California. In 1968, she married Mark Rollins and moved to Brawley, California, where the couple had two children, Matthew and Blake. In 1980, the couple returned to Tulsa, where Tina was energized by family, friends, church, tennis, bridge, and travel. She had professional success at Tulsa Studios, earning accolades for her writing and editing of the documentary "On Stage with Judith Somogy", which aired on PBS.

In 1991, a spring break trip through the Copper Canyon of Mexico led to the founding of Christ for Humanity (CFH), a Christian humanitarian aid organization dedicated to bringing physical and spiritual hope to the poor both internationally and domestically. CFH has since reached the needy in more than 50 countries. Locally, the ministry partners with numerous area churches and other ministries, meeting the needs of Oklahoma's disadvantaged. She served as CEO until retiring in 2024, while remaining an active volunteer until her final days.

Tina's heart to serve others has been a defining characteristic of her life, with countless lives touched by her kindness and generosity. While especially devoted to her family, she extended the same empathy and love to many others, particularly to missionaries overseas. Tina loved writing, faithfully authoring the monthly CFH newsletter and using her talent for poetry to express her faith and empathy.

Tina was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Mark Rollins; her parent's Bill and Marian Dawson; her brother, Mark Dawson. She is survived by her son Matthew Rollins and wife Laura; son Blake Rollins and wife Monique; sister MaryAnn Sutherland and husband Phil; brother Billy Dawson; four grandsons, Jonah, Dylan, Edward, and Owen; niece Melinda Rider; nephews Karl Kriegh, Grant Price, and Cameron Price; sister-in-law Lynn Rollins Price and husband Landon Price.

Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on 8 November 2025 at Fellowship Bible Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Tina Rollins Memorial Fund at Christ for Humanity. Interment, Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa.
