Obituary of Dale Francis Baker
Dale F. Baker, 77 passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on October 21, 2022, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Dale was the first born of eight children on October 9, 1945, to Eugene & Bernice Baker. He went to school in Esko where he played football and basketball and graduated class of 1964. Dale worked for the city of Duluth Fire Dept. and retired after 28 years.
He loved golf, especially his hole-in-one. He loved dirt track racing and running for parts for his favorite driver (Nelson Racing Team). He liked fixing cars and trucks. His other claim to fame was he covered 49 states on his motorcycle.
Dale is preceded in death by his father & mother.
He is survived by his wife Judy, son Paul (Deb) Baker, daughters Kristine (Charles) Godden, Brenda (Mike) Acheson, grandchildren Drew (Bree), Rebecca (Jake), Ashley (Aaron), Jessica (Tyler), Kayla (Jon), and Todd, great-grandchildren Harlee, Wesley, Maverick, and Maicee, brothers Robert (Sharon) Baker, and Curtis Baker, sisters Carolyn (Gary) Fredrickson, Shirley (Arlen) Shanblott, Lois (Steve) Nynas, Terry Line, Lori (Ray) Feltes, sister-in-law Patricia Kolquist and his love for his puppy, Molly, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
We want to thank all the doctors, nurses, aides, and Essentia Health Hospice for all their good care.
A celebration of life will take place on Monday, October 31, 2022, from 2:00 - 5:30 p.m. at the Cremation Society of Minnesota in Duluth. In lieu of flowers, all memorials to Essentia Health Hospice in Duluth.

So So Sorry to hear the sad news. Chuck Jr and I were exposed to Covid so couldnt be there. But Dale was a Special person and always enjoyed his visits to our house. He will be missed by many.
