Dale Mize

Graveside services for Dale Mize, 84, of Tyler will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Providence Cemetery, Grand Saline with Rev. John Horner officiating with Ed Mcgee assisting, under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.
Mr. Mize passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024, in Tyler. He was born March 16, 1940, in Weatherford to Earl Mize and Stella Williams Mize.
Dale was a member of the beloved Family of the Tyler Primitive Baptist church. He was a proud and grateful American who served his country as a Marine for almost 4 years. He had been retired for the last several years after learning of his heart condition.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Stella Mize, his beloved wife of what would now be 60 years Wilma Mize, his two sisters Helen Jane Yokem and Joyce Rochelle, and grandkids Christopher and Morgan Mize.
He is survived by his loving family including son and wife Steve and Louisa Mize, son Jeff Mize, granddaughters Susan, Sophia, Sarah, and great-grandson (as Dad liked to call him) Mr. Daniel.
Pallbearers will be Reed Stewart, Emmitt Hunter, Jason Stewart, James Fathum, and David Hamlin.
Visitation is scheduled from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway in Tyler.
