Danny Wayne "Flop Ears" Coots born September 19, 1957 departed this life on Thursday March 21, 2024 at Saint Joseph Health in Lexington, Kentucky being 66-years old. Danny was born in Hazard, Kentucky the son of the late Boyd Coots and the late Martha Riley Coots. Other than his parents, Danny was also preceded in death by brothers, Terry Lynn Coots, Bill Coots, Glenn Coots, Bradford Coots, Charles Coots; sister, Brenda Carol Bailey; nieces, Melissa Ann Herald and Martha Ann Kilburn. Danny loved to fish and married Victoria Lynn in December of 2018.
Danny Wayne "Flop Ears" Coots leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: wife, Victoria Lynn Coots of McKee, KY; Sons, Glenn Wayne Cornett and Danny Coots, Jr; Step-Sons, Matthew Moore McKee, KY, Joseph Moore of McKee, KY; sisters, Iva Mack Herald, Hallie Sue Huff, Ella Joan Arms; nephews, B.J. Herald and Terry Allen Coots; great-nephew, Buddy Boy Herald; nieces, Nikki Coots, Mary Bell Patrick, Janice Faye Kilburn and Lora Faye Burkhead; one grandchild; step-grandchildren, Julie, Lora Bell, McKenzie and Carolyn.
Visitation for Danny Wayne "Flop Ears" Coots will be held on Tuesday March 26, 2024 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 12:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. Funeral Services will follow on Tuesday at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home at 2:00 P.M. with Trey Henson and B.J. Campbell officiating. The Interment will follow in the Kilburn-Coots Cemetery located at Avawam, Kentucky.
