Darlene ABSALONSON Obituary
Spokane - Darlene Absalonson, a lifelong resident of Spokane, WA, passed away peacefully on August 30th, at the age of 73. Born to Lloyd and Mary Absalonson. She was our beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and sister in Christ.
Darlene was a graduate of Shadle Park High School (1969). She is remembered for her warm heart, quick wit, and love for family. She was eager to give, even when she had little to offer. She found joy in bringing happiness to others, with the true spirit of selflessness. Over the years, Darlene found comfort and care where she resided. The family extends their sincere appreciation, especially to Mallon Place and Purity Adult Home for their love and care of Darlene.
Preceded in death by her parents, Michael Absalonson and Bill Kendall. Darlene is survived by her sister, Linda Kendall; brother, Steve (Audrey) Absalonson; and nieces and nephews: Robb (Heather) Arnold of Chewelah, WA, Jared (Andrea) Arnold of Chewelah, WA, Trevor (Joe) Arnold of Molalla, OR, Michelle Curtis of Lake Tapps, WA, and Nick (Angie) Absalonson of Snohomish, WA. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Rest in eternal peace, Darlene.
A service will be held in Darlene's honor on September 21st, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Fairmont Memorial Cemetery. The family encourages donations, in lieu of flowers, made in Darlene's name to a charity of your choice (ie NAMI-Spokane) that aligns with her lifelong commitment to giving.

I am sorry to have heard about the passing of Darlene. The death of a loved one is something we never really get over, it's just something that we learn to deal with. My condolences to Darlene's family.

Darlene was a good person. She had a lot to offer. I'm glad she's home with Aunt Mary and Uncle Lloyd enjoying God's peace. -
