Deborah Reehl Obituary

Reehl, Deborah
EAST GREENBUSH - Deborah "Debbie" Fredericks Reehl, 74, passed away peacefully, Friday, July 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving and devoted family, at Albany Medical Center.
Born in Albany, N.Y., Deborah was the beloved daughter of Harold T. and Anne P. (Reith) Fredericks. She began her education at St. Ann's Academy, continued at Our Lady Help of Christians, and graduated from Vincentian Institute.
Deborah went on to enjoy a long career working for New York State. Most of her time was spent working within the Department of Health, where she cultivated many strong friendships along the way, before retiring in 2007.
She was the devoted sister to Joanne (Brett) Carver of Castleton, and Regina (Terry) Ashby of Altamont. Deborah was the proud mother of Shannon (Clarke) Caporale of Waterford. She was the loving grandmother of Christian and Cameron Caporale, who affectionately referred to her as Mimi. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Deborah was predeceased by her brothers, Harold W. and John T. Fredericks.
A lifelong sports enthusiast, Debbie was an Avid N.Y. Yankees Fan. She never missed an opportunity to support her team, either at Yankee Stadium or during spring training in Tampa, Fla. She also enjoyed many years of traveling and spending quality time with friends, some lifelong.
Debbie's love for life showed through in every event attended for family, quality time spent with friends, and her acts of service and kindness. She will fondly and lovingly be remembered for her sense of humor, warm heart, and generosity by those who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation hours, 4-7 p.m., on Friday, July 11, in the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Tpk., Rensselaer. Friends and family are also invited to her Funeral Mass of Christian Burial, at 10 a.m., in the Church of the Holy Spirit, 667 Columbia Tpk., East Greenbush. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Glenmont.

Dear Shannon and family,
We are so sorry to hear about your Mom's passing.
Your Mother was an amazing Mother, Grandmother and friend.
I will always remember seeing her at my sister Chris's house for dinner.
She always was able to tell many, many stories and always get many chuckles from all of us. Of course a bottle of wine might have been included.
We send our condolences to all of you during this difficult time.
God bless all of you!
