Deborah Simmons Obituary

Born in Columbus County, NC on February 11, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Parley Pratt Formyduval, Sr. and Lois Ludlum Formyduval. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband James Thurman (J.T.) Simmons and a brother Praley Pratt Formyduval, Jr.
Debbie was a retired educator from Brunswick County School District and a member of Soldier Bay Baptist Church.
Surviving sons are Davis Simmons (Aimee), of Waxhaw, NC, and Jamie Simmons, of Ash, NC; a sister, Avis Williams, of Greer, SC; and grandchildren, Greyson and James Simmons.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at 2:30pm in Soldier Bay Baptist Church by the Reverend Jason L. Benton. A burial will follow in the Simmons Family Cemetery, 4577 Whiteville Road NW, Ash, NC 28420.
The family will receive friends at 2:00pm at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family has suggested memorials be made to Soldier Bay Baptist Church, PO Box 10, Ash, NC 28420.
