Maureen Glassman Obituary
Born in Jersey City, NJ on April 15, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Edward Doyle and Mary Una Buckley Doyle. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Kathy Leydon.
She spent the vast majority of her working years in Havertown, PA where she spent time working at the local community college, the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, and working with employee assistance programs.
She loved the beach: from traveling to Cape May, NJ every summer while living in Havertown to retiring to St. James to be close to the ocean. When not at the beach, she loved to travel: everything from river cruises in Europe to exploring Alaska and the U.S. national parks. She was an avid photographer; in her retirement she entered numerous photography and art exhibits and won a number of awards.
Surviving are her husband, Paul Glassman; son Brian Glassman (Natalie); brother Edward Doyle; grandchildren Coraline (9) and Quentin (6) Glassman.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 801 Ocean Event Center on Oak Island in North Carolina on Sunday November 16 th at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name to World Central Kitchen would be much appreciated.
