Precious Memories
Demixica Dunnette Coleman-Gipson
As beautiful as a rose to see was her life, she lived so gracefully. She made things precious by her touch; her selfless love lives on in each of us. The petals of her life fell one by one, each a gift of her heart till there were none. Yet her radiance blooms once again in fields of glory with no end.
Demixica 'Misha" Dunnette Coleman-Gipson was born on July 4, 1983, in Denver, Colorado, to her parents, DeAnn M. Coleman and Beloved Stephen B. Gipson. She was raised in the household with her younger sister, Brittany. As a child, she loved traveling, where she spent many summers on the road with her grandparents. She was independent and always wanted to have things done her way. Misha enjoyed participating in many sports, including, basketball, volleyball, and track and field. She received her diploma from Overland High School. After high school, she became interested in the healthcare field, furthering her education by earning a certificate as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) at the College of America in Denver, Colorado. She fulfilled her commitment to healthcare as a CMA at the University of Colorado- Anschutz Medical Campus. Later, she followed her dreams of pursuing a career in Cosmetology. She became a business owner after obtaining a license as a cosmetologist from Empire Beauty College, located in Aurora, Colorado. Entrepreneur and Founder of The Beauty of Kemet, where she took great pride and joy in enhancing the natural beauty of her beloved clients. She was hard-working, dedicated, and performed her duties with a spirit of excellence. She was the type of person who always put forth her best effort in all she did and set out to accomplish.
Misha was the proud mother of two beautiful daughters, Zahla and Nevaeh. She was a loving and devoted mother who took great pride in their care and nurturing. They have fond memories of cooking and dancing with her. As well as a strong sense of the protection she had over them. They shared many happy and precious moments. She took great pride in her home life and motherhood.
Misha was first a member of Central Baptist Church, where she sang in the church choir and served as an Usher. She later joined Solomon Missionary Baptist Church. She believed in the power of meditation and having a solid spiritual journey.
Misha was a fun-loving woman with an unforgettable infectious laugh. She enjoyed life and spending quality time with close family and friends. Her closest friends, Brittani McGhee-Smith, Donnyel Dollison, and Evette Brown, will miss the many memorable moments they shared and the fact that she was a faithful and trusted friend. She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind and wonderful spirit. She was a selfless soul who would do anything for anyone; to know Misha was to love her.
