Mrs. Dianna R. (DeWine) Wilson, 83, of Murfreesboro passed away on June 17, 2021. She was born in Akron, OH on September 15, 1937. Preceding her in death were her mother, Alva M. DeWine; her husband, Walter Wilson; and her sisters, Roseanne Dowdy and Patsy J. Strausburg. She is survived by her niece, Jeannie J. Strausburg; nephew, James Scott Strausburg, and close friends, John and Teresa Miller and Dorothy "Dottie" Greiner. Additionally, the family would like to thank the staff who cared for her with kindness and ensured the family could say Good-bye; in particular, Mr. Guy Freeman and Miss Diane Abner. The family would also like to thank Mr. Mark Moore, attorney, for his compassion, hard work and compelling integrity; and Tim Gentry of Gentry-Smith Funeral Home for his flawless communications, suggestions, and many kindnesses. Without their guidance our long-distance arrangements would have been extremely difficult.
Mrs. Dianna Wilson was originally from Dayton, OH. She graduated from Julienne High School and attended the University of Dayton, studying business administration. Her career in retail as a buyer for boutiques and department stores was fitting to anyone who knew her. She loved fashion and art, and those loves transferred into her appearance. She was someone who dressed impeccably and always put her best foot forward. Other than fashion, she had a deep-seated adoration for her white Westie, Zoey. She took him with her wherever she could and valued his companionship and faithfulness. Mrs. Wilson didn't move to Tennessee until about 3 years ago. The hearts of her family and friends ached as her health began to diminish. It is with deep sorrow that they bury the last of her generation within their family.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021, 2 pm at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a donation may be given to the charity of your choice.
