Donna Lee Netherton, of Conroe, Texas, formerly of Mansfield, Texas, received her "heaven-promotion" on Monday, March 27, 2023 at the age of 80.
Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Friday, April 7, 2023 at Skyvue Funeral Home, Mansfield, Texas.
Interment: Skyvue Memorial Gardens, Mansfield, Texas.
Donna was born on September 22, 1942 in Perryton, Texas to Hazel Stobbe and Clarence Stobbe.
She attended and graduated from Westminster High School in Colorado where she was a part of many activities, her forever cherished one being the cheerleading squad. She then went on to work for the Independent Journal in Marin County, California where she met the love of her life, Jim. However, Donna's favorite job that she ever had was as a receptionist for an orthopedic surgeon. All of the doctors and patients absolutely loved her.
Donna was a pure light and brought joy wherever she went. She adored her husband and loved her children and grandchildren with all of her heart. She will always be the best wife, mother and "Doodle" that a family could have asked for. Donna loved her Lord and Savior, and we rejoice that she is healed, and we find healing in knowing that we will one day see her again.
She is preceded in death by her father, Clarence "Curlee" Stobbe; mother, Hazel Stobbe; sisters, Ferridean Pohl and Imogene Rigney.
Donna is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, James R. Netherton; sons, Gary Netherton and wife Sue, Michael Netherton and wife Jennifer; daughter, Brenda Ruzicka and husband Tyson; grandchildren, Ryan Ruzicka and wife Baleigh, Ashley Ruzicka, Liberty Netherton, Blake Netherton, Darci Huff and husband Matt, Dalton Netherton, Cole Netherton, Devin Metzger; great-grandchildren, Mason Huff, Madison Huff, Claire Ruzicka; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and loving friends.
