Dorothy, a devoted wife, married Walter F. Taylor on August 25, 1968, whom she met in High School. She leaves behind a legacy of love, survived by her husband, Walter, sons Andrew (Diane) and James (Giselle), as well as grandchildren Drew, Ellie, and Declan. She is also survived by her sisters Pauline (Ken) and Diane (Mark).
Dorothy, a proud Polish American and devoted Roman Catholic, dedicated her time volunteering at St Raphael’s Church in East Meadow, NY, and St Peter and Paul Church in Palmyra, VA. She spent her professional career as a teacher’s assistant for special needs children at BOCES.
Known for her caring spirit and generous heart, Dorothy extended her love not only to her family but also served as a second mother to friends and extended family. Her lively, vivacious personality touched many lives, making her an integral part of both East Meadow, NY, and Palmyra, VA communities.
As we bid farewell, let's celebrate the good memories and remember Dorothy for her enduring love, support, and the indelible mark she left on our hearts. Life is fragile and short, but Dorothy's legacy will live on, echoing in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Until we meet again, she will be deeply missed.
