Dr. Herbert L. Zigerman

Dr. Herbert Zigerman died peacefully at the age of 95 at the Artman Home in Ambler on June 13, 2025. He was predeceased by his dearly, beloved wife of 60 years, Elaine (Nee Morris) and was the loving father of Janet Handleman (Steven), Lisa Kessler and David Zigerman; cherished grandfather of Jaclyn Kessler, Jordan Kessler, Tate Hout (Tyler), Joshua Handleman and Dana Handleman; adoring great-grandfather of Sacha. .

Herb practiced family medicine in Northeast Philadelphia until 1985 when he and Elaine shared their home between Israel and the US where they both acquired a dual citizenship. He practiced family medicine, and Elaine volunteered in archaeological sites while in Israel. 

When grandchildren arrived, Elaine and he spent more time with them in the US. Herb spent his later years, living and enjoying life at Anne’s Choice in Warminster where he had a strong support of his daughters. His last years were spent in a memory care unit at Artman where he enjoyed family visits, playing games on his iPad and listening and conducting to classical music. He spent countless days at his families homes enjoying holidays and celebrations. Herb died peacefully after a sudden decline in his health.

Funeral services will be private.

Shiva will be observed at the residence of Lisa Kessler on Sunday from 6:00PM-9:00PM and on Monday at the residence of Janet and Steven Handleman beginning at 6:30PM.
