Our beloved Elizabeth Ganza, 80, went home peacefully to the Lord on September 4, 2024, at her home, surrounded by the love of her family.

Elizabeth was born on June 28, 1944, to Mr. Francisco and Mrs. Lolita Ganza in a small province of Negros Occidental, Philippines. She was a loving and dedicated daughter, a good and kind sister, and a wonderful aunt to her nieces and nephews. Her love for her family was boundless, and as a friend, she was loyal, caring, thoughtful, sincere and trustworthy. Above all, she was a loyal servant of God.

Elizabeth was among the first registered nurses recruited from her homeland, embarking on a lifelong journey of service and compassion that started in UTMB Galveston, Texas in 1970, and continued in Houston, Texas until she retired. The personal sacrifices and the selflessness she willingly made became the key that opened opportunities for her family to migrate to the US.

She was also a beacon of generosity, secretly helping many relatives, both immediate and distant, achieve their dreams by funding their college education. Elizabeth’s life was a testament to her unwavering faith in God. A devoted Christian, she always placed her faith in Jesus above all else. She found great joy in singing in the church choir, seeing it as a way to serve the Lord. Her love for music and her deep spiritual convictions were cornerstones of her life. Elizabeth was also a lover of birds and butterflies, finding peace and delight in their presence. Her gentle and caring nature extended to all living things, reflecting her profound kindness and love.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, and those left to cherish her memory are her beloved siblings, Raquel Ganza Sanchez, Jane Ganza Llamas, Daniel Barrios Ganza, and Arlie Barrios Ganza; sisters-in-law, Patricia Infante Ganza, Riorita Sugian Ganza, and Zion Cabahug Ganza, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, extended family and loving friends.

A memorial service to celebrate Beth’s home going will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Sand Prairie Baptist Church in Normangee, Texas where she served Christ as a faithful and loving member. The celebration of Beth’s life will begin at 10:30 A.M. In honor of Elizabeth’s legacy, her family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of choice, such as the American Cancer Society, a cause that was close to her heart.

Elizabeth, or as her family calld her, “Princess,” will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her life was a shining example and a solid reflection of God’s Love.

The final arrangements for Elizabeth Ganza are under the compassionate care and direction of Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
