Elizabeth Savage Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services - Crawfordville on Oct. 13, 2022.
Elizabeth Ellen Savage, 69, of Crawfordville, passed away at her home with her loving family October 11, 2022. Elizabeth was born to Albert and Melissa Carr Cooper in DeFuniak Springs, Florida, on, August 4, 1953, and lived most of her life in Panama City, Florida. She has lived in Crawfordville, Florida for the last 30+ years. She was a Homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her family especially her grandchildren whom she loved immensely. Elizabeth worked as a Medical Laboratory Technician and a Pre-school Teacher. She stayed home with each of her grandchildren and when her first grandchild became old enough for pre-school, she became a Pre-School Teacher. She spent 20 + years working at Wakulla Springs Baptist Daycare and at Trinity Lutheran Daycare. Elizabeth cared for other children, just like she treated her own and considered this care to be her calling in life. God and family were the most important things to her. Her favorite quote was "100 years from now the world maybe a better place because I was important in the life of a child". She was a true southern cook and enjoyed hosting all holiday meals for family and friends.
Survivors include her daughters Melissa Laursen and husband Jason & Tammy Connell and husband Dennie all of Tallahassee, brothers Wayne Cooper & Lane Cooper of Carrabelle, grandchildren Tyler Raley, Brittney Raley, Chase Laursen & Caden Laursen of Tallahassee.
Preceded in death by her husband Jim Savage and her parents.
Memorial Service will be Monday, October 17, 2022, 2:00 pm at Family Funeral Home in Harvey Young Chapel.
