Emily leaves behind to cherish her memories her spouse, Micheal Evans of Kings Mountain; mother, Wanda Moss Hurley and husband, Bill of Vale; father: Jonnie Corn of Boiling Springs, NC; canine daughter, Mia of Kings Mountain; lifelong sister/friend, Lauren Walker of Forest City; many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Emily's bright smile and infectious laugh brought joy to all she met. She had a giving heart that was ingrained with the need to help...be it through EMS, animal rescue support, or by being the shoulder for family or friends in need. Her love for her family and her beloved pets was immeasurable. The beach brought solace to her soul. She leaves a family that loves her so much. The world is a much darker place today.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hope's Chest, Inc (a rescue non-profit), 1042 Sam Lattimore Road, Shelby, NC 28152, hopeschestinc.org
A private family service will be held at a later date.

What a honor it was for me to know Emily. Bright, funny, effervescent, a pure ray of sunshine, always. I will remember her fondly and greatly saddened to hear of her passing .

It was such a privilege to know you sweet Emily. You had such an infectious smile. It was impossible to have a bad day around you. I am so sorry to hear of your passing. The world is a little less brighter without you but the heavens are rejoicing! My thoughts and prayers are with Emily´s family.

Although I never met Emily, I followed her furbabies on Instagram. She seemed like a very loving and caring person . My prayers go out to her family.
