George Harry Allen

George Harry Allen, age 75, passed away September 9, 2023, at the Penn State Hampden Medical Center, after a five-month struggle with cancer. He was born in Chester, PA, the son of the late George H. Allen and the late Genevieve R. Paski.
George began his working career as an electronics apprentice at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard and was last employed as a draftsman for a refrigeration equipment company, between which he held numerous other jobs. He earned his private pilot's license in his 40s and had been engaged in building his own experimental aircraft. Among his many hobbies were fishing, hunting, woodworking, and stargazing.
George is survived by his wife, Anna; a son, George David Allen of Media, PA; two sisters, Virginia Conlin (Patrick) of Glen Mills, PA, and Kathleen Karas of Annapolis, MD; a niece, Andrea Leff (Marty) of West Chester, PA, and a great-niece, Alexandria Leff, also of West Chester, PA. No services are scheduled, and the burial will be private. The Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care and arrangement for George.
