GEORGE (JERRY) GERALD McGUINNESS
November 23, 1928 ˜ October 15, 2025
Jerry McGuinness, 96, beloved husband and father, went to be with the Lord October 15, 2025. He was the eldest of two sons born to George and Hazel McGuinness. He was a typesetter for the Taunton Daily Gazette, and would go on to work at the Palo Alto Times, the Standford Press and the Wall Street Journal. He married Dorothy Bartel, at the Sacred Heart Church, in Taunton, Massachusetts. They were married 75 years.
He is survived by his precious wife, Dotti; and his four daughters, Paula Schmidt, Patti Spuhler, Chrissi Cook, and Alyssa Conner. He was grandpa to 14 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 10, at 12:30 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 1101 NE 112th Ave., Vancouver, WA.
Contributions may be made to City Harvest Church, Missionary Ministry, 8100 NW 9th Ave., Vancouver, WA 98665.
