Obituary
Geraldine Diane Vigil was born on May 24, 1946 and passed away January 2, 2022 at 75 years old.
Geri, as she preferred to be called, met the love of her life, Michael Vigil in High School when they were 15 years old. They were married for just shy of 57 years at the time of her passing. She managed a household and was a loving stay-at-home mom to her four children and a devoted Nana to her many grandchildren when that time came. She loved to go on vacation, socialize, and could always be counted on to make a huge meal for whoever stopped by. She was an avid crocheter and passed on the skill to many of her loved ones.
Geri is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mae Giron; brothers and sisters, Frank, Ronnie, Anita, and Pat as well as two of her children, Matthew Vigil and Brenda Barela. She leaves behind her loving husband, Mike; son, Mark (Kim) Vigil; daughter, Misty (Larry Ramey) Vigil; two sisters, Fran and Cindie; her many grandchildren, Kayla, Ashlee, Mitchell, Ryan, Brittany, Anthony, Samantha, Nevaeh, Charisse, Michael, Montrose, Eysiah and Elyias, and great-grandchildren, Sylas, Sawyer, Parker, Katalina, Ashton, Autumn, Hudson, Tucker, Vincent, and Benjamin.
Geri is incredibly loved and will be missed dearly.
A Celebration of Geri's Life will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 12pm at Unity on the Avenue Spiritual Center, 4670, East 17th Avenue Pkwy, Denver, Colorado 80220.
