Harold Woodburn Henderson, II, age 84 of Alma passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Stone Lodge Memory Care in Shepherd. He was born March 21, 1939, in St. Louis the son of Harold Woodburn and Lulu (Woodcock) Henderson, I. He was a 1958 graduate of Alamogordo High School in New Mexico. He proudly served his country in the United States Army for 4 years, before serving as an Air Force Reserve for 23 years. On August 12, 1967, he married Glenadine Lott, a blessed union of 44 years until her passing in 2012.
Harold worked for Alma Products for 23 years and later was a currier for Mercantile Bank, retiring after 10 years of service. He was a lifetime and active member of the Alma Elks #1400. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and shooting guns. He also enjoyed trips to the casino. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will always be remembered as a practical joker and dearly missed by his friends and family.
Harold is survived by two daughters, Lori (Cory) Hackett, Deb (Jason) DeLong both of Alma; six grandchildren, Jessica (Drew Vogler) Myers, Rebecca (Courtney Glover) Powelson, Madysen Hackett, Jacob (Jasmine Bates) Lake, Joshua Lake, CJ (Courtney Shattuck) Hackett; four great grandchildren, Brandon, Layla, Hunter, Emma; a sister, LouAnn (Bill) McAdams and a sister-in-law, Alice Henderson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenadine; his parents and a brother, Ervey Henderson.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023, at 11 am at Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home, Alma. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Alma. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 22nd from 5-7 pm at the funeral home with an Elk's Memorial Service to be held at 7 pm. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Stone Lodge Memory Care.
