Mr. Henry O. Beatty, age 91, of Hanover, Indiana, entered this life on January 11, 1932 in Hanover, Indiana. He was the loving son of the late Fred C. and Virginia Daughtery Beatty. He was raised in Hanover and was a 1949 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School. In August 26,1952, Henry was united in marriage to Mary F. Lyle in Madison, Indiana. This happy union of 71 years was blessed with two sons, Rodney and Michael and two daughters, Connie and Mary. Henry entered into the United States Army in 1952 and served in the Korean War. He was honorably discharged to the Army National Guard in 1954. Henry retired from the Indiana National Guard as Sergeant First Class after 34 years of service. He received the Army Commendation Medal. Henry also worked for IKEC in Madison in maintenance and retired after 22 years. He was a member of the Major Samuel Woodfill American Legion Post 9 and the St. Stephens AME Church in Hanover. Henry died on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at 12:55 a.m. at the Hanover Health & Rehab Center in Hanover, Indiana. Please Click Here to View the Video Tribute
A LOVING FAMILY
Henry will be missed by his loving wife, Mary F. Lyle Beatty of Hanover, Indiana; his sons, Rodney Beatty and his wife JoAnn of Tampa, Florida, and Michael Beatty and his companion Starla Toomey of Madison, Indiana; his daughters, Connie Sproessig of Hanover, Indiana, and Mary Sanders of Hanover, Indiana; his grandchildren, Lori Burkhead of Taylorsville, Kentucky, Henry Rodney Beatty II of Franklin, Kentucky, Christopher Beatty of Hanover, Indiana, Caitlin Beatty of Tampa, Florida, Dawn Higgins of Madison, Indiana, Jessica Wynn of Madison, Indiana, Stephanie Cook and her husband Tim of Westfield, Indiana, Tredan Beatty of Madison, Indiana, Jay Beatty of Hanover, Indiana, and Brandy Centers and her husband James of Tampa, Florida; his thirteen great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; his sisters, Ruby Brightwell of Hanover, Indiana, Rita Taylor of Louisville, Kentucky, and Ernestine Owens of Queens, New York; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred C. Beatty, his mother, Virginia Daughtery Beatty, his brothers, Russel Beatty and Donald Beatty.
FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 6, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery,1415 North Gate Road Madison, Indiana

VISITATION
Friends may visit Friday from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive Madison, Indiana.
MILITARY HONORS
A final salute with military honors will be conducted by the Major Samuel Woodfill Post No. 9 of the American Legion.
