Immacula "Mama" Delonne, was born to the late Almadias Delonneand Mericie Jean Baptiste, on June 9th, 1952 in L'Asile, Haiti. In the late 1980s, Immacula migrated to the United States, building her life in Miami, Fl. While in Florida, Immacula worked as a seamstress and a housekeeper for the Ramada Inn Hotel in Miami Beach, Fl. until 1999 due to medical issues. After several battles with her health, in 2003, her children decided to relocate her to the Boston area to receive enhanced medical treatment. Immacula would eventually settle in the city of Melrose for the next 21yrs. Immacula was a free spirited woman, known to adorn her lips with her signature red lipstick, who loved to sing, dance and spend time with her family, she especially loved her role as grandma.
Immacula was an altruistic woman who always cared for the needs of others. Her personality was vivacious and had a servant heart. Immacula was funny, kind-hearted, compassionate and thoughtful. Immacula had a contagious laugh that made others smile. She had a great sense of humor and the ability to make friends everywhere she went.
Immacula was a devoted Christian who believed in the word of God. She was an active member in the church and attended service multiples times a week. As a young woman, she made a profession of Christian faith by giving her life to God. Her faith and devotion to God was at the forefront of every decision she made, something she instilled in her children. " si Bondye vle" as she was often known to say.
On January 19th, 2024, Our dear mother, Immacula, sadly passed away at the age of 71 after succumbing to a lengthy illness. Immaculais survived by her children, daughters, Natacha Delone, Nadine Jean and Faline Moeses and her son, Ligory Moese. Immacula also leaves behind her 5 granddaughters, Janiyah Thicklin, Makaylah Baptiste, Naima Baptiste, London Lawrence, and Logann Moise. Her youngest brother, Lubien Mounier and sister in law Losta Mounier, her Sister Monique Noel and a host of nieces and nephews and dear friends. Immacula was preceded in death by her sister, Marie Ange Sylvain.
Her departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound, and it is gravely felt by her entire family and countless others who loved her deeply in her wide-network of community. The family deeply appreciates your support during this difficult time.
Funeral services will be held at the Freedom Hill Community Church, 75 Kennedy Drive, Malden on Saturday, February 3rd, at 10 AM, with visitation from 9 AM to 10 AM. Interment to follow in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
