In Loving Memory of Jane E. Williams March 17, 1940 – June 4, 2025
Jane E. Williams, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, went to be with the Lord on June 4, 2025, at the age of 85. She passed away peacefully at home in Palm Harbor, Florida, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on March 17, 1940, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Jane was the daughter of Harry and Margaret Rutherford. She was talented and creative, with a passion for painting, cooking, singing, decorating and collecting antiques and treasures. A retired barber, Jane had a warm, infectious smile and a kind and generous spirit. She was a woman of strong faith in God and took time to appreciate life's simple pleasures, like nature, birdwatching and singing hymns. Her greatest joy was time spent with her children and grandchildren.
Jane is survived by her daughter, Roberta Phillips, and her husband, Don, of Palm Harbor, Florida; her son, Ralph (Eddie) Lawrence, of Beaufort, North Carolina; her twin sister, Joy DePinho, and her husband, Alfred, of New Martinsville, West Virginia; and her brother, Bruce Rutherford, and his wife, Dorothy (Doris), of Shipman, Virginia. She is preceded in death by her son, Paul Lawrence, and her siblings, Fannie (Pauline) Levinson, Gail A. Holmes-Reeves and Joan Rutherford.
As she wished, her family will gather privately to celebrate her life over a seafood dinner that will include crab and shrimp – a few of her favorite foods inspired by her many years of living in coastal towns in New England, New Jersey, North Carolina and Florida.
