JEFFREY SMITH Richfield, Utah: Jeffrey Lynn Smith, 64, of Richfield, passed away January 11, 2025 in Provo. He was born April 10, 1960 in Pico Rivera, California to Edgar Roy Smith and Ellen Jarvis Scott. Jeff loved people, having a good time, rock and roll music, and if you needed help he was always there. Jeff worked hard his entire life without complaint. You could always go to Jeff if you needed someone to listen and his advice was solid because he had been there and done that. He wasn't quick to judge. He was patient and empathetic of what others were going through. Jeff was a fighter. He never let his struggle get in the way of what mattered most; and most of all, Jeff showed up for you. Jeff valued people and treated people with respect, whether you were his best friend or someone he just met in passing. Jeff was a gentle man and lived in the moment. He had a deep love for animals and a big heart. He was loved. He will be missed. We will always remember him. Survived by his children: Harmony Osorio, Desert Hot Springs, CA; Nicole Smith, Reno, NV; and Tyler Torgenson, Richfield; 7 grandchildren; siblings: Kim Smith, Richfield; Brad Smith, Las Vegas, NV; Sue Kenny, OR. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Leslie Smith; siblings: Mike Gerrard, Denise Smith; sister-in-law, Ginger Smith; uncle, Don Harrison. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel. Viewing at the mortuary beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
