John Kaufman Obituary
John was born and raised in Columbus, OH. He proudly served 20 years in the United States Army and retired as a combat veteran for his time in the Vietnam War. He also worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Pemberton Twp where he retired after 34 years.
John was known as "Grandpa" to everyone he knew and a few as Papa Dukes.
He enjoyed riding his Harley, playing computer games, fishing, long car rides, watching tv and listening to music, as well as taking care of his late dogs Kaiser and Jager. John devoted himself to being an amazing father and traveled the world but immensely enjoyed his time in Hawaii surfing the waves.
John is survived by daughter Kimberly and granddaughter Brieanna Kaufman (Gian Quirante). Father to the late John, Jr. (Terri), Brian "Scotty" (Dawn), Joesph Kaufman (Chrissy), daughter Julia Southall (Jamie), as well Robert and the late Ronald Rouba and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is proceeded in death by his mother Mary Jane (Kintigh) Von Aschen.
A visitation will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 10 AM - 12 PM in the Moore Funeral Home, 371 Lakehurst Rd. Browns Mills NJ 08015. A memorial service will follow at 12 PM in the Funeral home.

I will miss you John! I will remember our wonderful days in Germany and playing fast-pitch softball with you. You were a good man and will always be thankful to you for everything.

My Dear Brother, I remember the day that We met like it was yesterday. Though I have been blessed with many Great friends through My life, I have more memories of the fun that I had being Your friend & neighbor than I can count. Your personality & sense of humor made My day whenever I saw You. I wish that I could ride out to breakfast with You & Alan 1 more time. We shared so many good times like My 1st Am-Jam & tattoo, 6 more (double) tattoos including the wildcat that we both share. Who knows how many rides, concerts, fishing trips & hilarious times just sitting at Your picnic table or Obie's. Thank You for always being there & being a truly awesome friend!
