Jonathan M Brenner

Jonathan Michael Brenner, son of Masako and Larry Brenner, passed away on August 10, 2024, in Boring, Oregon at the age of 42 in an accident. He was born on October 15, 1981, in Portland, Oregon.
Jonathan grew up in Canyonville and Boring, Oregon attending Cottrell Elementary and graduating from Sandy High School in 2000. He also attended Mt. Hood Community College. He enjoyed playing basketball in high school, water skiing, and snow skiing with Larry and his brother, James. Jon was a stranger to no one, had a smile that could melt your heart, was very charming and loved to tease his family and friends.
At the age of 19, Jon connected with his birth mother, Dawn Hull and his birth family adding another dimension to his life. When he turned 20, Jonathan lived in Hawaii for a year and celebrated his 21st birthday there. He worked in a restaurant for most of that time and became the "Poster Boy" for the restaurant when they used his picture in their advertising! You could see his smiling face on many a billboard! After Hawaii, he moved back home and worked at Olive Garden, Applebee's, and volunteered at the Sandy Fire Department. It was at Applebee's that he met a lovely young woman named Jennifer Ahn. They were married on September 23, 2006, and were blessed with two children, Jayden, and Justin. In 2010, Jennifer, Jon, and children moved to Grand Ronde to help her family operate The Seaway Market. In 2012, Jenn and Jon moved back to Boring where Jon worked at Mt. Hood Community College as a ground's keeper. Tragically, his wife, Jennifer, died in an auto accident in 2020. After Jenn's death, caring for his children became his top priority.
He is survived by his daughter, Jayden, his son, Justin, his mother, Masako, sister, Melissa Bilyeu (husband Chad), brother, James (wife Alexis), niece, Isabella, Aunt, Nancy Day (husband Keith),Uncle, John Brenner, birth mother, Dawn Hull (husband Doug), half-brother, Joe (wife Kelley), half-sister, Abby (Zach), half-stepsisters, Morgan, and Robyn (husband Christopher), the family of his wife Jennifer, and many friends and other relatives.
Jonathan was preceded in death by his wife Jennifer, Grandparents Ruth and Glen Brenner, and died together with his father, Larry.
A memorial service for Jonathan and Larry will be held on October 6, at 3:30pm at Good Shepherd Community Church, 28986 SE Haley Road, Boring, OR 97009. A reception will follow at Mt. Hood Community College.
