Juan Luis Avillan

Juan Luis Avillan, age 62, of Allston passed away on November 19, 2023. Juan Luis Avillan, of Jamaica Plain, MA, passed away at St. Elizabeth's Hospital on November 19, 2023. Born on August 15, 1961 in Michigan, of Puerto Rican descent, to Norma Leon and late Juan Avillan- an Army Veteran. Luis was a loyal Friend, a father, a son and a brother. Strong willed, he was always a helping hand away. He loved his family, his music, cooking and his sweets. He was preceded in passing by his sisters Judith Avillan and Alicia Avillan. He is survived by his daughters Christina (Greg) Scruggs, Amanda Avillan and grandchild Avery Scruggs. He is also survived by his mother Norma Leon - Rosario, sister Petra Elixia Avillan-Leon, brothers Jose Carlos Avillan and Marcos Antonio Avillan, along with numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Church 14 Montebello Rd. Jamaica Plain on Friday November 24 at 10:30 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
