Judith "Judy" K. (Caffee) Baumgartner passed away on March 15, 2024, in Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital surrounded by her family at the age of 78. She was born on July 8, 1945, to Paul Eugene and Delores "Fat" M. (Branstetter) Caffee in Decatur, Indiana. Judy graduated from Geneva High School with the class of 1963 and shortly after married Philip Lee Baumgartner on July 18, 1964. The couple was married for 59 years. Judy resided in Columbia City, IN for 29 years and worked for Thorncreek Elementary School as a Teacher's Aide and Heckman's Sani Services for many years. In 1990, Judy and Philip moved to Perrysville, Ohio where they have resided ever since. In Ohio, she worked for the Marilat, Colonial Manor, and retired from Ashland Transit as a driver. Judy was a long-time member of both Tri-Lakes Baptist Church in Columbia City, IN and Vermillion Baptist Church in Perrysville. She was a collectible and antique dealer. She loved a good puzzle and word games.
She is survived by her husband Philip; her son Todd Lee (Maureen) Baumgartner of Golden, CO; her daughter Kimberly (Simon) Tungate of Loudonville; her grandsons Chase and Corey; her granddaughter Chelsea Graff; 2 great-grandchildren Gideon Eugene and Emmeline Noelle, and her brother Dennis Caffee of Geneva, IN. In addition to her parents, Judy is preceded in death by her son Kerry Eugene; her brother Robert Caffee; and her grandson Casey Tungate.
Visitation in Judy's memory will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 4-7 p.m. in Snyder
Funeral Home- Lindsey Chapel, Loudonville.
Judy's services will continue at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home 100 N. Washington Geneva, IN., with visitation on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM. A funeral service to honor Judy's life will follow on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 2:00 PM with Pastor Robert Bird officiating. Burial will follow in M.R.E. Cemetery in Berne, Indiana.
Arrangements are being handled by Downing & Glancy Funeral Home in Geneva.
