Born January 1, 1957, in Galveston, Mr. Davenport had been a resident of Santa Fe since 1995, previously of Houston. He owned and operated Hayden Air and Heat Inc. for over 40 years, was a member of Tomball Masonic Lodge 1096 AF & AM. Kenneth enjoyed spending time in the back yard with his Fur Babies, Piper, Molly and Kobie, camping, watching old western movies and was an avid Houston Astros, Rockets and Texans fan.
Survivors include his loving wife of nearly 46 years, Marian Davenport; parents, Kenneth Dorman and Betty Joyce (Cosby) Davenport, Sr.; sister, Karen Denise Davenport of Texas City; son, Kyle Dustin Davenport and wife, Katie of Santa Fe; daughter, Jennifer Lynn Kay and husband, Darrell of New Caney, grandchildren, Hunter and wife, Dixee, Travis, Jacob, Kinsley, Kylie, Kailyn, Kori; great-grandchild, Westyn; sister-in-law, Lori R. Glenn; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Vige and Stephen Borden and their children, Bayleigh and Cash; his Fur Babies, Piper, Molly, Kobie; numerous cousins and other family.
Visitation with the family will be from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 3, 2024, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Pastor Joshua McDonald officiating.
Honorary casketbearers will be Stephen Borden, Ricky Davenport, Darrell Kay, Hunter Kay, Jacob Kay, Travis Kay and Christopher Oliver.
Memorials in the form of donations may be made in Kenneth's name to Bayou Animal Service and Adoption Center, 3100 Deats Road, Dickinson, Texas 77539.
