Kimberly Dawn Rakes

Kimberly Dawn "Kimmie" Rakes, age 55, of Christiansburg passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, October 26, 2022. She was born in Montgomery Co, Va. on July 19, 1967. Kimmie was known for love and affection in all aspects for nieces and nephews. She is survived by her parents, George W. "Bill" and Janice A. Rakes; sister, Lisa Shepherd; brothers and sisters-in-law, Shawn and Kim Rakes, Billy, and Hope Rakes; nieces, Amber Perdue (Daniel), Megan Hopkins (Ben); nephews, Joshua Rakes (Chelsea), William Rakes; great nieces, Paisley and Piper Perdue, Macy Rakes, Caroline Hopkins; great nephews, John and Theo Hopkins, and Steven Rakes. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, October 31, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Mike Johnston officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00- 1:00 P.M. on Monday, October 31, 2022, at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr. S.W. Blacksburg, Va.
